I-64 Regional Traffic Weekly Rush Briefing – Aug. 20
Aug. 1 – Aug. 15 rush information

ST. LOUIS - Traffic volumes along interstates are still lower than earlier this year, but volumes along arterial roads are slowly starting to pick up again as school starts back in session.

Overall volumes on arterial roads increased about 5 percent for the first two weeks of August and are expected to continue to rise into September.

"As traffic volumes continue to rise, it's good to remember that there are many options available to drivers to continue to reduce traffic throughout the metropolitan area," said Tom Blair, MoDOT assistant district engineer. For instance, last week, MoDOT opened a new commuter lot near I-44 and Six Flags Road. Metro already has bus service to the new commuter lot." The 410X Eureka Express started service to the lot Monday.
