I-64 Regional Traffic Weekly Rush Briefing – July 18
July 1 to July 11 rush information

ST. LOUIS - Mid-way through the year of the five-mile closure of I-64 from I-270 to I-170, a review of traffic information shows traffic is light with summer schedules, vacations and no school.  On the interstates, travel times and volumes are the same as the month of June, which is slightly less than May.  On the arterial roads, travel times and volumes are down a little more than June and also less than May.

"We have had several major crashes on I-270 in North County and on I-64/Route 40 in West County during the past two weeks that have greatly affected traffic," said Assistant District Engineer Tom Blair.  "Motorists are advised to slow down and be attentive while driving, especially paying attention to the changing conditions of traffic during rush hours."

For more information on the I-64 project, visit http://www.thenewi64.org/, and for real-time traffic information, visit http://www.gatewayguide.com/.
