I-64 Regional Traffic Weekly Rush Briefing – March 17
Weeks of March 3 to March 14 rush information

ST. LOUIS - A significant winter storm on March 4-5 and a damaged crane on Clayton Road on March 7 increased morning and evening travel times during the past two weeks.

Again, motorists are highly encouraged to give themselves extra time during inclement weather, especially winter storms. During the past two weeks motorist assist operators responded to more than 600 incidents on traffic lanes - motorists are reminded to move their vehicle out of the driving lane when involved in a crash, if their vehicle is driveable.

"We're continuing to look at roads to try to fine tune our signal timing," said Tom Blair, MoDOT Assistant District Engineer.  "We continue to work with St. Louis County to further streamline Clayton Road between Lindbergh and Ballas and Brentwood between Manchester and the Galleria Parkway. After the crane blocked Clayton Road, traffic specialists adjusted signal timing along the roads which were impacted by additional traffic. We appreciate the patience and understanding that drivers across the region continue to exhibit."
