ST. LOUIS - Traffic flow on the region's roads continues to flow well in both morning and evening rush hour due to the efforts of everyone in St. Louis. Today is the last daily briefing for traffic conditions. The next report will be issued Wednesday, January 23 providing a weekly summary of traffic.
"Thursday morning will be our first potential snow since the closure of I-64. MoDOT's crews are prepared to handle the rain-snow mix that is forecasted," said I-64 Project Director Lesley Hoffarth. "We strongely encourage motorists to leave plenty of extra time to get to work Thursday morning."

- Time = 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
- Volumes peaked from 5 - 6 p.m. on interstates and 4-6 p.m. on arterial roads
- Morning for January 16
- Time = 6-9 a.m.
- Volumes peaked from 6:30-7:30 a.m. on interstates and 7:30-8 a.m. on arterials

- 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. peak for north and southbound, problem spot on southbound Lindbergh turning left to eastbound Clayton
Incident Report:
· A few incidents to report for January 15 p.m. rush:
o Southbound I-270 two separate incidents one south of Ladue and one north of Manchester
o Westbound I-44 at Big Bend, incident with two right lanes closed
o Eastbound I-70 at Airflight, incident with two left lanes closed
· One incident occurred January 16 a.m. rush:
o Eastbound I-44 at Meramec River, incident with right lane closed
o Northbound I-270 between Tesson Ferry and Gravois, incident with right lane closed
Metro information:
- MetroLink boardings are up nearly 5,000 each day compared to January last year.
- January 2007 averaged 71,305 boardings.
- For January 7-11, 2008, averaged 76,151 per day.
- I-44 commuter lots at Route 141 and Route 109 are full
- Motorists who are carpooling are encouraged to use the I-44 and Antire Road lot, which is not serviced by MetroBus. This will free up parking spaces at the 141 and 109 lots for those who are catching the bus.
