Rte. 79 Bridge Replacement Project

MoDOT, with its contractor McGruder Construction. Co., Inc., from Eolia, MO, will continue work to replace three bridges in St. Charles County along Route 79. Each bridge was too narrow and had deteriorated beyond repair.  Along with replacing the bridges, the contractor will add a traffic signal at the intersection of Rte. 79 and Rte. M.

Construction on the bridges is complete.

Bridge and ramp improvement at Rte. A over Hwy. 61 in Wentzville

MoDOT, in conjunction with contractor Gaines Construction, is expanding the bridge deck and ramps at Route A over Hwy. 61 in Wentzville.  The bridge and ramps were outdated and needed to be widened and repaired. To remedy the situation, MoDOT implemented a plan to widen the bridge and the ramps to function efficiently, to include dual left turns for all movements on the interchange.

The majority of work has been completed, while crews have some minor striping, grading and signing work.

Motorists will be able to access Hwy. 61 and surrounding businesses during construction. MoDOT has designated $5.2 million for the project.
 

Rte. 40/61 at the Missouri Research Park interchange.  Add an eastbound off ramp.  MoDOT is partnering with the Research Park to develop plans and secure construction funding.  Anticipate construction to begin by late 2007 or early 2008.

Rte. 61. Bridge widening and rehabilitation at McCoy creek, just north of Highway P.  Includes work on both the northbound and southbound structures.  Two lanes of traffic for each direction of Route 61 will be open at all times during peak travel times.   Construction begins in spring 2008. 

Rte. 94. Bridge replacement over Sehrt Creek near Augusta. Construction on the bridge is complete.

Rte. 94. Pavement rehabilitation and resurfacing from Rte. 40 to south of Rte. D. Construction begins in early 2008.  Little impact to traffic is expected.

Rte. C. Surface leveling from I-70 to the Mississippi River. Construction has begun on this project.

Rtes. C and Z. Bridge Deck Repairs. Construction is complete.

Rte. N. Lane addition & shoulders, Spring Orchard to Meadowlake. Construction has currently on hold and will resume in September.
