Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, MoDOT will upgrade pedestrian facilities. These include improving and adding sidewalks and curb ramps, improved pedestrian crossings, and upgraded access to bus stops. It also allows for better access for persons with disabilities.

 

 

Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Awards Route AC Project

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the Route AC (New Halls Ferry Road) project during its August meeting.

This project consists of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades, improvements to sidewalks, curb ramps and pedestrian signals on Route AC from Route 67 to I-270. This project was awarded to X-L Contracting Inc. (St. Peters, MO) for $1,667,728.99. This project is expected to begin in September 2009 and should be completed by May 2010.
