Route 94 Improvements (Terry Road and Route 47 to Route D)
Project Alerts & Updates
Lane Closure on Route 94 at Klondike Hill (updated 6/6) - One lane of Route 94 between Klondike Park and Sanders Road is closed through late August so crews can repair two slides and replace pavement in the area. Route 94 will be a one lane road for about a mile and traffic will be directed through the work zone using temporary signals. Drivers can also detour around the lane closure by taking Route 94 to Schluersburg Road to Route F. All lanes of Route 94 will reopen by late August.
Terry Road Back Open (updated October 2015) - Route 94 just west of Terry Road reopened to traffic in August 2015. The Terry Road portion of the project is complete. Crews are continuing to work in the area of Route 47 and Route D with daily lane closures possible during off-peak hours.
What is being done?
MoDOT is making improvements to two sections of Route 94. The first part of the project to raise the height of Route 94 near Terry Road to help alleviate flooding in the area is COMPLETE. The second half of the project will add shoulders, make curve corrections and repave Route 94 between Route 47 and Route D.
What kind of impacts will there be with the work from Route 47 to Route D?
Work on this stretch of Route 94 began in late summer 2015. Lane closures can be expected during off-peak hours, with one lane traffic in some areas. This portion will be completed in the fall of 2016.
What was done a Terry Road?
The height of the road was raised by more than three feet to help alleviate the flooding that often occurs due to the proximity to the Missouri River. Click here for more information on the Terry Road project (586KB)
