Interstate 64 Work - Kingshighway to Jefferson

*This work was not part of The New Interstate 64 project, but a

    nearby contract that affected traffic on Interstate 64 just east of
    Kingshighway.

 

The purpose of this project was to upgrade Interstate 64 from Kingshighway to Jefferson Avenue to make it more efficient for motorists. Crews completed the following work:

• Resurfaced the roadway.
• Rehabbed the bridge on the eastbound Interstate 64 on-ramp at Papin Bridge.
• Upgraded all of the guardrail.
• Added guard cable where needed.
• Constructed a median barrier wall to replace the double-sided guardrail section
• Placed new signing.
• Striped this section of roadway.
  

This project was completed as promised before November 2009.
