Business Coaching Program

MoDOT's Business Coaching Program is part of MoDOT's Accelerated Business Development Training program. It is a targeted approach to continue to develop Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms participating in the highway contracting industry.

The Supportive Services team brings together a pool of external business analysts to work with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms who are certified by the Missouri Regional Certification Committee. Each firm gets a specified number of consulatation hours in the following services:

• Joint Venturing/Teaming Assistance
• Business Planning Assistance/Coaching
• Financial Assistance (loan application packaging)
• Bonding Assistance (bonding application packaging)
• Marketing Assistance (presentation skills and materials)
• Technical Assistance Program (bidding/estimating and project management training)
• Accounting System and Financing Reporting Assistance
• Safety and Operations Training
• Limited Legal Assistance (contracts, legal structure)

Other services may be added as the needs arise.
