Saturday, June 25

Marshfield/Fordland/Seymour Areas:

  • State routes in Webster County:  Slow-moving (8-12 mph) train of work trucks. Striping pavement. Be alert for flashing arrows on trucks. Slow down. Do not drive in wet paint. Pass only when safe or wait until striping vehicles pull out of the way. Work hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Mountain Grove/Mansfield/Hartville Areas:

Mowing Along Area Roadways:

  • I-44 between Lawrence/Greene county line and Route 266 (Chestnut Expressway) in Springfield: Workers and equipment close to traffic. Mile Markers 59-72.
  • I-44 between Strafford and Laclede/Pulaski county line:  Workers and equipment close to traffic. Mile Markers 88-145.
  • Route 60 in Springfield:  Workers and equipment close to traffic.
  • I-44 outer roads east of Lebanon:  Workers and equipment close to traffic.

Monday, June 27

Springfield Area:

  • ROAD CLOSED: Chestnut Expressway closed underneath Route 65 until Aug. 1. Contractor crew building bridge over closed roadway. All ramps open at interchange. However, only right turns allowed from ramps onto and off of Chestnut Expressway.

 

  • ROAD CLOSED UNTIL AUG. 3: Route YY bridge CLOSED at Pearson Creek east of Springfield. Replacing bridge. Bridge will be closed up to 49 days -- through Aug. 3. Detour on state roads: Route 125 to Route OO/744 to Route 65. Part of MoDOT's Safe & Sound bridge improvement program.

 

  • I-44 north outer road at Strafford:  One-lane traffic. Laying long asphalt patches.

Republic Area:

  • ROAD CLOSED: Route 174 CLOSED until July 19 between Route 60 and Lindsey Street underneath railroad bridge in Republic. Contractor crews replacing a 300-foot long section of pavement.

Clever/Nixa/Ozark Areas:

  • State routes in Christian County:  Slow-moving (8-12 mph) train of work trucks. Striping pavement. Be alert for flashing arrows on trucks. Slow down. Do not drive in wet paint. Pass only when safe or wait until striping vehicles pull out of the way. Work hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Fair Grove Area:

  • ROAD CLOSED UNTIL JULY 3: Dallas County Route AA CLOSED at bridge over a branch of Pomme De Terre River 1-1/2 miles east of Route 65 north of Fair Grove. Rehabilitating bridge. Bridge closed until July 3.

 

  • Greene County Route KK between Route H and Route 65 south of Fair Grove:  One-lane traffic. Laying long asphalt patches.

Bolivar Area:

  • Route 13 between Bolivar and Brighton:  One southbound lane closed. Pavement repairs.

Marshfield Area:

  • ROAD CLOSED UNTIL OCT. 1: Route 38 CLOSED five miles east of Marshfield between Webster County Route P and Route C. Contractor crews replacing bridges over Greer Creek and Osage Fork. Road closed until Oct. 1. Detour: Webster County Route P to Route C.
  • Webster County Route M east of Marshfield:  One-lane traffic. Lay long asphalt patches.

Lebanon Area:

  • NIGHT WORK: I-44 closed between Lebanon and Conway:  One westbound lane closed . Mile Markers 127-115. Work hours: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday. Contractor resurfacing road.

Mansfield/Ava Areas:

  • Wright/Douglas County Route U between Mansfield and Route 76 near Ava:  One-lane traffic at times. Contractor removing trees near pavement. Obey flaggers.

Gainesville Area:

  • Route 160 between Route 181 at Gainesville and Ozark County Route V west of Caulfield:  One-lane traffic. Contractor resurfacing roadway.

Ava Area:

  • Route 76 between Douglas County Route T at Goodhope and Route 5 at Ava:  One-lane traffic and traffic stops up to 30 minutes. Sealing pavement with a mixture of rock and oil. Follow pilot vehicle. Obey flaggers.
  • Route 76 between Douglas County Route T at Goodhope and Route 160 near Kissee Mills:  One-lane traffic. Contractor crews resurfacing roadway.

  • ROAD CLOSED UNTIL JULY 29: Route 14 CLOSED at bridge over Fox Creek near Gentryville. Replacing bridge. Detour on state roads -- Douglas County Route C, Route 76 and Route 95. Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement project.
  • ROAD CLOSED UNTIL AUG. 3: Route 14 CLOSED at bridge over Cowskin Creek near Ava. Replacing bridge. Detour on state roads -- Route 5, Route 76 and Douglas County Route O. Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement project.

Branson/Hollister Areas:

  • NIGHT WORK: Route 160/Route 65 interchange north of Branson:  Ramps closed and lane closings. Work hours: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Contractor resurfacing ramps, shoulders and driving lanes.

Aldrich Area:

  • ROAD CLOSED UNTIL JULY 27: Route 123 bridge CLOSED at Stockton Lake south of Aldrich. Rehabilitating bridge. Bridge will be closed up to 100 days -- through July 27. Detour on state roads: Route 215 to Route 245 to Route 32. Project part of MoDOT's Safe & Sound bridge improvement program.

Rogersville/Marshfield Areas:

  • ROAD CLOSED UNTIL JULY 23: Webster County Route KK CLOSED at bridge over Panther Creek between Rogersville and Marshfield. Replacing bridge. Detour on state roads -- Webster County Routes B, OO and A. Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement project.

  • Route 13 in the Bolivar area:  Worker and equipment close to traffic.
  • Route 60 between Marionville and Seymour:  Workers and equipment close to traffic.
  • South Campbell (Route 160/13) in Springfield:  Workers and equipment close to traffic.
  • Route 160/13 between Springfield and Reeds Spring: Workers and equipment close to traffic.
  • Route 14 between Ozark and Sparta:  Workers and equipment close to traffic.
  • Route 65 between Springfield and the Mo/Ar state line:  Workers and equipment close to traffic.
  • Route 465 in Branson:  Workers and equipment close to traffic.

Ongoing Construction Projects:

  • Route 60/65 Reconstruction in Springfield:
    New northbound Route 65-to-eastbound Route 60 ramp scheduled to open Monday night.
    TRAFFIC SHIFT: Two-way traffic in the eastbound lanes of Route 60 between the Lake Springfield bridge and a point east of Glenstone Avenue. Only one lane open in each direction on Route 60. The U.S. 60 speed limit: 45 mph through the work zone.
    RAMP CLOSED: Westbound U.S. 60-to-southbound U.S. 65 ramp CLOSED until summer or fall of 2012. Detour westbound on U.S. 60 through Glenstone interchange to eastbound U.S. 60 to southbound U.S. 65.
    TRAFFIC SHIFTS:
    Northbound Route 65 shifted to median south of Route 60. Speed limit reduced to 45 mph.
    Southbound Route 65-to-westbound Route 60 traffic shifted to temporary ramp
    Narrowed lanes and traffic shifts on Route 60 and Route 65. Bridge work.

  • Route 65 Six-Laning in Springfield:
    ROAD CLOSED: Chestnut Expressway CLOSED under Route 65
    until Aug. 1. Ramps open, but only right turns allowed onto and off of ramps.
    New third southbound lane of Route 65 OPEN between Sunshine Street and Route 60. Southbound right-lane becomes exit-only lane to westbound Route 60.
    TRAFFIC SHIFTS:
    Northbound Route 65 shifted toward median between Chestnut Expressway and a point south of the railroad bridges south of Kearney Street.
    Traffic shifted toward median at Catalpa Street bridge
    Southbound traffic shifted to median at railroad bridge south of Chestnut Expressway
    Traffic shifted toward outside shoulder at bridges over Chestnut Expressway
    Northbound Route 65 shifted to median at railroad bridges south of Kearney Street
    Speed limit on Route 65 reduced to 50 mph in areas
  • Kansas Expressway Bridge Rehabilitation at Rail Yards in Springfield:
    TRAFFIC SHIFT:
    Two-way traffic in the southbound lanes of Kansas Expressway between Atlantic and Division streets 'round the clock. Expect delays.

  • Campbell Avenue (Route 160/13) Six-Laning in Springfield:
    Only one lane of Republic Road open in each direction at Campbell Avenue. All left-turns must be made from through lanes. Short-term traffic stops on Campbell Avenue north of Weaver Road at 6 p.m. for blasting. Crews and equipment close to traffic between South Avenue and James River Freeway. Dump trucks hauling rock and dirt in and out of work areas. Trucks moving with traffic.

  • Glenstone Avenue (Loop 44/Business 65) Sidewalk and Curb Ramp Project in Springfield (Division Street to Chestnut Expressway and Seminole to Sunset Streets):
    NIGHT WORK
    : Southbound right lane closed on Glenstone Avenue between Seminole and Sunset streets. Work hours: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday nights.
  • Route 13 Four-Laning Branson West to Kimberling City:
    Stoneridge Center Road shifted 150 feet to north to new roadway. Road will remain gravel until it can be paved. Traffic shifted to temporary bypass on Armadillo Lane west of Route 13. Armadillo Lane traffic must stop at new stop sign at Stoneridge Center Road.
    Short-term traffic stops on Route 13 between Stone County Route DD and Rollin Acres Road south of Branson West

  • Lake Taneycomo Bridge (Route 76/Bus. 65) Bridge Construction in Branson/Hollister:
    New Lake Taneycomo bridge OPEN to traffic. Historic Lake Taneycomo bridge
    CLOSED for repairs for up to a year. BRIDGE DETOUR: Route 76/Business 65 traffic detour set up using Branson Landing Boulevard, Route 248 and Route 65 to Route 76 in Branson.
  • Route 248/65 Diverging Diamond Interchange in Branson:
    Nighttime lane closings possible. Work hours: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Route 60 at Clinton Road Intersection Widening/Traffic Signal Installation in Seymour:
    New traffic flashing. Set to go into full operation on Tuesday, June 28.
