MoDOT Road Report for Monday, May 19
I-44 Lane Closings:
- Lebanon area: Westbound lanes narrowed to two 10-foot lanes round the clock. I-44 speed limit reduced to 60 mph. Mile Marker 127.
Watch for construction vehicles on Morgan Road or Elm Street approaching the new bridge under construction.
Exit 127 bridge over I-44 at Lebanon is closed until shortly before Memorial Day, as part of the interchange reconstruction project (see project details below). Drivers who normally would use the bridge will have to cross I-44 at Route 5 (Jefferson Avenue) at Mile Marker 129 to the east or County Road/Route W at the Mile Marker 123 interchange at Caffeyville to the west.
- Lebanon area: One westbound lane closed at the Gasconade River bridge east of Lebanon. Mile Marker 143. Bridge deck repairs
Springfield area: One westbound lane closed at Route MM/B west of Springfield. Mile Marker 70. Guardrail repairs.
Eastbound off ramp narrowed at Route N/T interchange west of Springfield. Mile Marker 67. Guardrail repairs.
Area Road Work Schedule:
- HEADS UP: Bluegrass Road on the west side of Route 65 north of Springfield CLOSED until Friday, May 23. Contractor crews rebuilding intersection with new southbound lanes of Route 65.
- EARLY HEADS UP: ROAD CLOSED -- Westbound Route 60 closed at Route 65 Tuesday and Wednesday nights, May 20 -21. Repairing bridge. Work hours: 7:30 p.m. - 5 a.m.
- NIGHT WORK: Route 160 (West Bypass) and Route 744 (Kearney Street): Lane closings at the intersection. Concrete repairs.
- NIGHT WORK: Glenstone Avenue, Chestnut Expressway and James River Freeway: Slow-moving operation. Striping pavement. Work hours: 9 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday.
- Kansas Expressway at Route 60: One southbound lane closed. Guardrail repairs.
- Route 125 between a point south of Chadwick and Linden: One-lane traffic. Sealing the roadway. Follow pilot car. Reduced speed limit: 45 mph.
- Route 65 ramps in the Ozark area: Slow-moving operation. Striping pavement. Work hours: 9 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday.
- Route 65 betweeen Buffalo and Preston: One-lane traffic. Contractor resurfacing roadway.
- Route 65 south of Buffalo near Route 38/Dallas County Route TT: Traffic slowed or stopped twice a day. Contractor blasting rock for widening project. Blasting times: noon and 6 p.m. (see project details below)
- Route 38 between Marshfield and the Webster/Dallas county line: One-lane traffic. Patching.
- NIGHT WORK: Route 5 and Routes 64 and 32 in Lebanon: Slow-moving operation. Striping pavement. Work hours: 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.
- Route 60 betweenTexas County Route MM in the Mountain Grove area and Route 95: One westbound lane closed. Concrete pavement repairs. Lane may be closed overnight to allow concrete to harden. Speed limit 55 mph in work zone.
- Route 60 east of Wright County Route O near Cedar Gap: One eastbound lane closed. Guardrail repairs.
- Route 95 in the Drury area south of Mountain Grove: One-lane traffic. Patching roadway.
- Route 13 at Route 76 and the Business Route 13 North intersection in Branson West: Traffic shifts and one-lane traffic at times. Contractor crews replacing pavement.
- NIGHT WORK: Routes 5 and 54 in Camdenton: Slow-moving operation. Striping pavement. Work hours: Beginning at 3:30 a.m.
- Greene County Route MM west of Springfield: Stop and start operation. Trucks may be stopped on roadway or pulled onto shoulder close to the road edge. Replacing warning signs along length of roadway. Watch for flashing warning lights on trucks. Obey flaggers where set up behind the sign crew.
- Douglas/Ozark County Route JJ south of Squires: Stop and start operation. Trucks may be stopped on roadway or pulled onto shoulder close to the road edge. Replacing warning signs along length of roadway. Watch for flashing warning lights on trucks. Obey flaggers where set up behind the sign crew.
