DISTRICT 8, SPRINGFIELD - A partnership project to widen Route 125 on the north side of Route 60 adjacent to the new Logan-Rogersville High School now under construction is scheduled to begin Monday, June 14.
A center turn-lane will be built between Route 60 and a point 3,000 feet to the north -- to just north of Greene County Farm Road 174 near the old Logan-Rogersville High School.
The project is a joint effort involving MoDOT, the Greene County Highway Department, the City of Rogersville, the Logan-Rogersville School District and a private developer.
Greene County Highway Department crews will do much of the grading and widening work.
Paving will be done by Journagan Construction of Springfield.
Drivers can expect one-lane traffic between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-July.
Two-way traffic should be maintained during overnight hours.
The cost of $76,000, primarily for materials, will be divided among the partners.
