Resurfacing Begins Wednesday, Sept. 9
MoDOT, District 8, Springfield - Three state highways in southern Webster County are scheduled to be resurfaced beginning Wednesday, September 9, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The work is being paid for with funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The roads to be resurfaced are Route B in the Rogersville area, Route PP in Fordland and Route K in Seymour.
Drivers can expect one-lane traffic where contractor crews are working. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. Traffic entering the roadway from side streets or side roads may be stopped for short periods until the operation moves past.
Here's a look at the schedule:
· Sept. 9-11 -- Route B between Route AD north of Rogersville and Business Route 60 in Rogersville.
· Sept. 14 -- Route PP between the west city limits of Fordland and Route FF-north, plus a short section on Route FF north from Route PP.
· Sept. 15 -- Route K between Route 60 and West Summit Avenue in Seymour.
Rain or construction delays could alter the schedule.
Journagan Construction Company of Springfield is the low bidder on the project, doing the work for
$366,572.
