MoDOT, District 8, Springfield - Three state routes in western Greene County and one in southwest Polk County are scheduled to be resurfaced beginning Monday, July 20, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The work is being paid for with funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The roads to be resurfaced are Route 266 in western Greene County, Greene County Routes AB and EE west of Springfield and Route 215 in southern Polk County.
Drivers can expect one-lane traffic where contractor crews are working. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone. Traffic entering the roadway from side streets or side roads may be stopped for short periods until the operation moves past.
Here's a look at the schedule:
· July 20-23: Route 266 between Greene County Route AB and Airport Boulevard west of Springfield.
· July 22-31: Greene County Route AB between Route 160 at Willard and Route 266 west of Springfield.
· July 28-August 6: Greene County Route EE between Greene County Route AB and a point west of West Bypass in Springfield.
· July 21-August 14: Route 215 between Route 123 at Eudora and Route 13 at Brighton south of Bolivar.
Rain or construction delays could alter the schedule.
APAC-Missouri of Columbia is the low bidder on the project, doing the work for $1 million.
