Hollister/U.S. 65 Interchange
Construction
Update for Week of November 15

- Work Scheduled: Rock blasting
east side of U.S. 65 near Route 165.
Drain pipes installed at Birch Road and Industrial Boulevard.
Brush grinding on west side of U.S. 65 near Gage Drive.
Impact on Traffic: When
blasting occurs, traffic on U.S. 65 will be stopped
for short periods before and after the blast. The scheduled
delay for blasting is five minutes each time, though
it could be longer.
One-lane traffic at intersection of Birch Road and Industrial
Boulevard.
Work zone speed limit on
U.S. 65: 45 mph.
Project
background: Construction of U.S. 65/Business
65 interchange and overpass for Business 65 north of
new interchange and widening of U.S. 65 to four lanes
along 1.6 miles (2,000 feet north of Bus. 65/Route V
to just south of Route 165.)
Cost:
$19.2 million (low bid), shared by MoDOT,
City of Hollister and Taney County.
Prime
contractor: W.A. Ellis Construction of Independence.
Scheduled completion: Spring
