DISTRICT 8, SPRINGFIELD - Short sections of the right-hand lane of northbound and southbound Glenstone Avenue in Springfield will be closed the weeks of July 19 and July 26, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
A contractor crew will replace 18-storm drain grates between Kearney Street and Bennett Street, working between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Friday of each week.
Rain will cause delays in the project.
The work involves sawing around the existing grate, removing it, replacing it and pouring concrete around it.
More than one section of lane may be closed at a time, depending on where crews are working.
Hunter Chase and Associates of Springfield will do the work for a low bid price of $79,000. The project is scheduled to be completed by July 30.
