DISTRICT 8, SPRINGFIELD - The right-turn lane on the northwest corner of the Glenstone Avenue/Sunshine Street intersection is scheduled to be closed. Drivers will have to make right turns at the intersection. Crews will rebuild the turn lane.
The right turn lanes on the southeast and southwest corners of the intersection also remain closed.
Much of the work scheduled during the week will focus on the northwest corner. Curb Glenstone Avenue north of Sunshine Street and along westbound Sunshine Street west of Glenstone.
A City Utilities contractor will continue relocating a water line on the northeast corner. This work will take place AWAY from traffic.and gutter will be built along along southbound
No night work is planned during the week. No through lanes will be closed during the day.
This is part of a cooperative MoDOT/City of Springfield project to widen the intersection, adding left-turn lanes, realigning right-turn lanes and installing new traffic signals and street lighting.
