Project: Replace Bridge

• Construction: Summer 2008 by contractor for MoDOT

• Location: East of Springfield – 1/2 mile north of Greene County Route AD and 7 miles south of Strafford

• Existing bridge: 20 feet wide; built in 1947

• New bridge: Wider lanes and shoulders than the existing span with new guardrail on all four corners

• Rebuild/resurface road: A few hundred feet off either end of bridge

• Construction Completion: Fall 2009

• Estimated cost: $2.5 million

Traffic Impacts:

• Traffic will use the existing bridge throughout construction of a new bridge
built to the east.

• One-lane traffic on Route 125 is possible for a few weeks at the end of the project. Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone when necessary.

• Work will take place during daytime hours.
