MoDOT, District 8, Springfield -- Route 125 east of Springfield will be closed to traffic at the McGraw's Ford bridge over the James River for about six hours Thursday, March 24, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The bridge is located between Greene County Route AD on the south and Route YY (East Division Street) on the north.
The bridge is scheduled to be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday.
Drivers are asked to find an alternate route while the bridge is closed.
MoDOT crews will repair a hole that has developed on the centerline of the road in the middle of the bridge.
To make the repairs safely, the entire bridge must be blocked off to traffic.
Large electronic message boards will be placed at Route 125 and Greene County Route D (East Sunshine Street), south of Route AD, and at Route 125 and Route YY to alert drivers to the road closing.
