Work scheduled:
Finishing work on box culvert across Birch Road north of Industrial Boulevard.
Rock hauling at night across U.S. 65 near Route 165.
Rock blasting planned east side of U.S. 65 south of Mall Road.
Work to build new Business 65 overpass.
Utility line relocation on Blue Sky Lane near Herrman Lumber.
Installing drain pipes along Route V near College of the Ozarks.
Impact on Traffic:
Birch Road may be reopened sometime during the week. Once it is reopened, drivers will have to travel over gravel where the box culvert was installed. The gravel will remain in place for several weeks, before asphalt is laid.
Traffic stopped at night between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. on U.S. 65 near Route 165. Traffic stops will be brief to allow dump trucks to cross the road.
During blasting operations, traffic on U.S. 65 stopped for short periods before and after the blast. The scheduled delay for blasting is five minutes each time, though it could be longer. Blasting may occur several times a day.
A temporary bypass will be in place on Blue Sky Lane where crews are relocating utility lines.
All other work planned should take place AWAY from traffic.
Work zone speed limit on U.S. 65: 45 mph.
