Barry County - Once the rain stops, motorists will see crews working on the Route 60 alternate passing lanes around the clock until the job is complete. The expected completion date is Nov. 25, 2009.

Journagan Construction Company is laying asphalt 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the road surface and shoulders. Crews are grading and installing road signs during the day. Motorists should expect slight delays and reduced speed limits.

The $8.7 million contract to build alternate passing lanes from Monett to Republic was among the first economic recovery projects in the nation to start this spring.
