Bull Shoals Bridge Project Delayed Due to Flooding;
Roundabout at Route 160/76 to be Built in Conjunction with Bridge Project

Taney County – March/April flooding rains have delayed the start of the Bull Shoals Lake bridge replacement project on Route 76 west of Forsyth, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

High lake levels at Bull Shoals Lake have forced contractor crews to delay the start of the project until late summer or early fall when it is hoped that lake levels will fall to acceptable levels.

The bridge project was originally scheduled to begin in June.

In conjunction with the bridge project, Taney County and MoDOT are partnering to build a roundabout at the intersection of Route 160 and Route 76 just north of the bridge.  The project is scheduled to be let to a contractor in January 2018 with construction to begin in the spring of 2018.

The roundabout project is scheduled to be completed at the same time as the bridge project in the fall of 2018.
