Route 14/Cheyenne Road Intersection
Widening Project Set to Begin March 17

Christian County - A project to add turn lanes and a new traffic signal at the intersection of Route 14 and Cheyenne Road between Nixa and Ozark is scheduled to begin the week of March 17, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Drivers can expect crews and equipment close to traffic.  If lane closings are needed, the work will take place mostly at night or at times when traffic volumes are lower.

Nighttime lane closings will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

During the week of March 17, crews will clear trees and brush. Much of the work will take place away from traffic. Once widening work begins, lane closings can be expected.

Project Details:

  • Add left-turn lane for eastbound Route 14 to northbound Cheyenne Road
  • Add right-turn lane from westbound Route 14 to northbound Cheyenne Road
  • Add four-foot shoulders along Route 14 at Cheyenne Road
  • Add new traffic signals at intersection

The project also includes resurfacing Route 14 between Christian County Route M in Nixa and Christian County Route W east of Ozark.  This work will take place later in the spring.

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
