Greene County -- Reconstruction of the Route 125 and Greene County Route D intersection east of Springfield will require the a short portion of Route 125's north leg to be CLOSED for 48 hours starting Monday, Aug. 19, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The closing has been further delayed due to recent rains. The closing, just north of where Route 125, Route D and Farm Road 146 come together, will be from 2 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, until 2 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21. Drivers who normally travel north or south on Route 125 through its intersection with Route D can expect to see electronic signs alerting them to use alternate routes. Route D to the west of the intersection will remain open to traffic as will Route 125/D south of the intersection. The work Aug. 19-21 will involve relocating the north portion of Route 125 so that it intersects Route D at a 90-degree angle just west of Farm Road 146.
