- Replace current deteriorating single-lane bridge over Big Sugar Creek near Powell with new structure
- New bridge widened to 26 feet (existing bridge is 20 feet wide) to accommodate two 11-foot driving lanes and two-foot shoulders on each side.

- Built in 1947
- Carries approximately 1,500 vehicles a day
- Bridge deteriorating and no longer able to handle current traffic volume
Construction: Early May 2018 until early September 2018
Estimated total project cost: $1.8 million
Traffic Impacts:
- McDonald County Route E CLOSED until early September during bridge project
- Drivers will have access to entrances at either end of the bridge, but will not be able to cross the bridge during construction
- No signed detour is planned, drivers urged to find alternate routes
