Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is MoDOT replacing this bridge?

A: The bridge deck is in poor condition.

Q: Are you closing the bridge permanently?

A: No, we are only closing the bridge for the length of time it takes to remove and replace the deck. This bridge will be closed 30-40 days.

Q: When will you do the work?

A: It will be appoximately the same width as the old one, which is 24 feet.

Q: How much traffic does this bridge carry?

A: The average daily traffic is 115 cars per day. Eleven percent are trucks.
