Butler County

Construction Projects

Route 51-Route 51 in Butler and Stoddard County will be closed as contractor crews perform bridge repairs.

These bridges are located between Route FF and Route 60 Outer Road. Weather permitting, the road will be closed at 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2 and will re-open Monday, Oct. 23.

Business 67 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews perform sidewalk improvements.

The section of roadway is located between Pine Street and Route 53.Weather permitting, work will be performed Monday, July 17 through Friday, Dec. 15 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Business 60 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane with a 10 foot width restriction as contractor crews perform sidewalk improvements. The section of roadway is located between Business 67 and B Street. Weather permitting, work will be performed Monday, July 17 through Friday, Dec. 15 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

North and southbound Route 67 in Butler and Wayne County will have various one mile closures as contractor crews perform pavement striping. This section of roadway is located from County Road 521 to Route EE. 

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Route 51 and Route B between Fisk and Poplar Bluff, Mo., will have various closures as contractor crews perform bridge repairs. The crew will be working on a total of 10 bridges located between US 60 and Business 60. Improvements are already underway from Route 60 Outer Road to Route FF in Fisk, Mo. The repairs in this location are expected to be completed Oct. 23, weather permitting. Crews will progress from east to west, with each bridge remaining closed for several weeks as repairs are underway. Completion of the 10 bridges is anticipated in March 2018, weather permitting.

Route W contractor crews will begin installing chevrons beginning Thursday, Nov. 9 through Thursday Nov. 23 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day between County Road 508 and County Road 526.

Route 53 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.The section of roadway is located between Business 67 and 11th. Street. Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cape Girardeau County

Construction Projects

Route 61 in Cape Girardeau County will be closed as contractor crews replace a bridge. This bridge is located over Poor Creek between County Road 506 and Achillea Lane in Old Appleton, Mo. Work will take place Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Saturday, Nov. 18, weather permitting. During the closure, southbound traffic will detour to Route KK to southbound I-55 Exit 111 to Route E to Route 61. Northbound traffic will detour to Route E to northbound I-55 Exit 117 to Route 61.

Northbound I-55 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with a 16-foot width restriction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform bridge repairs. This is the Diversion Channel bridge located between Route AB and Route 74. Weather permitting, work will take place Sunday, Oct. 29 from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Carter County

Construction Projects

US 60 in Howell, Shannon and Carter Counties will be reduced as contractor crews install rumble strips and will follow with striping of the roadway. This section of roadway is located from Business 60 in Willow Springs, Howell County through Shannon County with project completed at County Road 256 in Carter County. Weather permitting, work will be performed Friday, Oct. 6 through Saturday, Oct. 14 from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, including weekends as necessary.

Westbound Route 60 in Carter County will be reduced to one lane with a 16-foot width restriction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform concrete repairs. This section of roadway is located from Route J to one mile west of Route Y near County Road 163. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Oct. 23 through Thursday, Oct. 26 from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The work zone may be set-up for 24-hours a day.

Westbound Route 60 in Carter County will be reduced to one lane with a 16-foot width restriction as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform concrete repairs. This section of roadway is located from Route M to Route C. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Oct. 30 through Friday, Nov. 10 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The work zone may be set-up for 24-hours a day.

Construction Projects

Weather permitting, work will be performed Friday, Oct. 6 through Saturday, Oct. 14 from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, including weekends as necessary.

Business 60 in Howell County is CLOSED by the Missouri Department of Transportation UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  The CLOSED bridge is over Kings Creek is located between US 60 and County Road 1270. The bridge is west of the Missouri Department of Transportation Regional Office and maintenance shed in Willow Springs.

Ozark County

Construction Projects

Route CC in Ozark County will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews complete bridge construction. This bridge over North Fork of the White River is located between County Road 367 and County Road 371. Weather permitting, work will take place Aug. 9 through Oct. 15. 

Route PP in Ozark County will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews complete bridge construction. This bridge over North Fork of the White River is located between County Road 319 and County Road 344. Weather permitting, work will take place Aug. 9 and will re-open Oct. 15. 

Roadway Maintenance  

Route PP in Ozark County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews partially overlay the roadway. This section of roadway is located from Route H to US 160. Weather permitting, work will take place from Thursday, Oct. 19 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pemiscot County

Roadway Maintenance

Southbound I-55 ramp in Pemiscot County will be reduced with a 14-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform pavement repairs. This is the Route 84 southbound ramp onto I-55.Work will take place, weather permitting Monday, Oct. 9 through Saturday, Oct. 21 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Interstate 55 truck parking lot at mile marker 3 located in Steele, Mo., in Pemiscot County will be reduced as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs. Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Route H in Perry County will be reduced with a 10 foot width restriction as contractor crews resurface and add shoulders to the roadway. This section of roadway is located from Route 61 to Route 51. Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, Aug. 23 through Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily.

Reynolds County

Construction Projects

Route 21 in Reynolds County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform pavement repairs. This section of roadway is located from 2nd Street to County Road 348.

Weather permitting, work will take place from Monday, Aug. 7 through Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Route H in Ripley County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replaces a pipe under the roadway. This section of roadway is located between County Road H-9A and the end of Route H.

Weather permitting, work will take place Thursday, Oct. 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Scott County

Construction Projects

Improvements to the Interstate 55/57/U.S. 60 cloverleaf interchange in Sikeston, Mo. will begin Monday, June 5, weather permitting. The interchange is located at mile marker 66. As work is underway, motorists should anticipate various lane and ramp closures. The ramp from southbound I-55 onto northbound I-57 will be closed, with a signed detour available. The ramp is expected to reopen Monday, Aug. 7, weather permitting.

The ramp from southbound I-57 to southbound I-55 will also be closed, with a signed detour available. The ramp is expected to reopen Monday, Oct. 2, weather permitting. Lane closures will also be in place. Southbound I-55 will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction from mile marker 66.4 to mile marker 60. In addition, westbound U.S. 60/southbound I-57 and eastbound U.S. 60/northbound I-57 will be reduced to one lane with a 14-foot width restriction below the overpass. Completion is anticipated by Monday, Oct. 16, weather permitting.

Work to construct the Scott City interchange in Scott County will begin Monday, July 17, weather permitting.

As construction is underway, the Route PP overpass bridge over Interstate 55 will be closed. The Route PP overpass will be replaced with a wider, three-lane bridge to accommodate turning movements for the new interchange. The project includes constructing a new roadway from Route 61 at Kelso to the overpass bridge.

Completion is anticipated in January 2019, weather permitting. The interchange will provide access to south Scott City, as well as a connection from Interstate 55 to Kelso. The project will also relieve congestion at the Route 61/K/M/I-55 interchange.

Route A in Scott County will be closed as contractor crews perform bridge replacement. This section of roadway is located between County Road 236 and Route 61. Weather permitting, work will start Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 6 a.m. and re-open Tuesday, Oct. 17.

North and southbound Interstate 55 in Scott County will be reduced to one lane with an 18-foot width restriction between mile marker 86 and mile marker 88. Contractor crews will utilize the median for heavyequipment during construction of the Scott City interchange.Weather permitting, work will performed Monday, Sept. 25 through Saturday, Oct. 21.

Shannon County

Construction Projects

Route 19 - Contractor crews will be working on the section of roadway that is located 3 miles south of Route E at the Route 19 at the Sinking Creek bridge. Weather permitting, work may begin as early as Monday, Oct. 16th through Friday, Nov. 10th. The work zone will be set-up for 24-hours a day. Work will be completed under one-lane traffic using temporary signals. Signals will be utilized to shift traffic away from the work area and will remain one-lane through the work zone.

Eastbound US 60 in Shannon County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform concrete repairs. This section of roadway is located a mile west of Birch Tree and just east of the intersection of US 60 and Route 99. Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, Oct. 25 through Thursday, Oct. 26 from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Route 99 in Shannon County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform concrete repairs. This section of roadway is located at the intersection of US 60 and Route 99 in Birch Tree. Weather permitting, work will take place from Monday, Oct. 23 through Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

St. Francois County

Construction Projects

Southbound U.S. 67 in St. Francois County will be reduced with a 12 foot width restriction as contractor crews perform bridge repairs. This bridge is located just south of Berry Road over the Big River.  Weather permitting,work will take place Monday, Sept. 11 through Friday, Oct. 27 from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Southbound Route 67 in St. Francois County will be reduced with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform bridge repairs.This section of roadway is located .5 miles north and south of the Flat River Bridge.Weather permitting, work will take place Sunday, Oct. 8 through Friday, Nov. 3 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.

Route O contractor crews will begin installing chevrons beginning Wednesday, Nov. 15 through Wednesday, Nov. 29 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day between Meadow Lane and Trophy Drive.

Route E contractor crews will begin installing chevrons beginning Wednesday, Nov. 15 through Wednesday, Nov. 29 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day between Office Road and Saddleback Trail .

Southbound Route 67 in St. Francois County will be reduced with a 12 foot width restriction as contractor crews perform bridge maintenance. This bridge is located between Commonwealth Road and Route 32 over Route O. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, Oct. 30 through Friday, Nov. 24 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.

Stoddard County

Construction Projects

Route J in Stoddard County will be closed as contractor crews replace a bridge. This bridge is located between County Road 249 and County Road 410.Weather permitting, the bridge will be closed starting Monday, Sept. 18 and will re-open Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018.

Route 51 in Butler and Stoddard County will be closed as contractor crews perform bridge repairs.

These bridges are located between Route FF and Route 60 Outer Road. Weather permitting, the road will be closed at 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2 and will re-open Monday, Oct. 23. 

Route Z in Stoddard County will be closed as contractor crews replace a bridge. This bridge is located between Route VV and County Road 755. Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, Oct. 9 and re-open Tuesday, Feb. 13. 

Route 51 and Route B between Fisk and Poplar Bluff, Mo., will have various closures as contractor crews perform bridge repairs. The crew will be working on a total of 10 bridges located between US 60 and Business 60. The section of roadway is located between Route 153 and County Road 752. Weather permitting, work will take place Thursday, Oct. 19 through Monday, Oct. 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

Texas County

Construction Projects

Southbound US 63 in Texas County from First Street to just north of Holder Drive and Northbound Route 17 from US 63 to Dooley Avenue in Houston will receive ADA sidewalks. The project will also consist of new drainage, along with new curb and gutter. Weather permitting, work will be take place Monday, July 17 through November 27 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., including weekends as necessary.

Route 17 in Texas County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform pavement improvements and shoulder construction. This section of roadway is located from US 63 inHouston to Route 106 in Summersville. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, July 24 through Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, including weekends as necessary.

Wayne County

Construction Projects

Route HH-Construction will soon be underway on Route HH in Wayne County as contractor crews replace the roadway that washed away during last spring’s flood. The roadway will remain closed as work is completed.

This section of roadway is located east of the Clearwater Dam to Route RA. Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday, Sept. 12, with completion anticipated Tuesday, Oct. 31.

The Outer Road from Route 34 to northbound 67 in Wayne County will be closed as contractor crews perform bridge replacement. This section of roadway is located near Silva. Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, Aug. 28 and will re-open Monday, Nov. 20.

North and southbound Route 67 in Butler and Wayne County will have various one mile closures as contractor crews perform pavement striping. This section of roadway is located from County Road 521 to Route EE. 

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.  

Route D contractor crews will begin installing chevrons beginning Friday, Nov. 10 through Friday, Nov. 24 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day between South Oak and Whispering Hills.
