The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded five projects in the Southeast District on May 6, 2009. 

Projects awarded include:

• Safe and Sound Bridge Improvements in Bollinger and New Madrid Counties
• Economic Recovery Project for Improvements to Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County
• Improvements to Route 47 in St. Francois County and Route H in Perry County
• Improvements to Routes D, 164 and DD in Pemiscot County
• Improvements to Route 62 in Mississippi County
