MoDOT: Flood Closures Throughout South Central Missouri

Willow Springs, Mo. - Saturated ground, heavy rainfall and runoff in low-lying areas has resulted in state highway closures due to flooding in several locations throughout the South Central District of the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT).

Current closures include portions of:

  • Carter County,
    • Routes K, Y, and Z
  • Crawford County
    • Route N
  • Dent County
    • Route TT
  • Howell County
    • Routes K, RA, and 142
  • Iron County
    • Routes C, D, F and 221
  • Oregon County
    • Routes A, M, Y and 142
  • Phelps County
    • Routes C, and P
  • Pulaski County
    • Route J
  • Reynolds County
    • Routes B, F, J, 49 and 106
  • Ripley County
    • Routes K, H, and NN
  • Shannon County
    • Routes H, HH, MM, NN, P, T, W, and YY
  • Texas County
    • Routes BB and U
  • Washington County
    • Routes C, and 47

Flooded roadways pose a threat to motorists due to how difficult it can be to determine the depth or swiftness of moving water. MoDOT crews place all available barricades and warning signs in flooded areas and, as supplies are depleted, utilize cones. Motorists should exercise extreme caution in all areas, particularly those marked.

Closures are posted in real-time on the MoDOT Traveler Information Map, accessible through the department website. Customers should visit www.modot.org/southcentral and click on the road conditions icon for detailed closure information.
