Willow Springs, Mo. - Contractor crews are scheduled to drop a lane for one mile, on westbound Interstate 44 next week. Weather permitting, a lane drop will begin at mile marker 214, near Leasburg, Mo., and extend for one mile, beginning Monday, Oct. 19.  

The lane drop is needed to complete the concrete repair project, which extends for 12.040 miles of westbound Interstate 44, from east of Route KK to west of Route H near Cuba, Mo. While performing this work, crews and equipment will be located directly on or near the roadway. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the area.

Contractor crews from Interstate Improvement, Inc., of Faribault, Mn. are completing the full-depth concrete repair.

This project is one of 111 projects awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
