12-3-08- A ceremony was held Wednesday, Dec. 3, to celebrate the completion of a newly expanded section of Route 60 that spans from the Route 60/63 interchange near Willow Springs to 0.45 miles east of Route 17 North. The project includes the five-lane section through the community of Mountain View, Mo. The ribbon cutting was led by United States Senator Christopher S. "Kit" Bond, who was joined by Darren Lingle representing United States Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson, Missouri Highways and Transportation Commissioner Rudolph Farber, State Representative Ward Franz and several other county and city elected officials.
