Counties:
All work subject to change due to weather or priority adjustments. Motorists are urged to exercise caution while passing through work zones. Workers may be on or near the roadway. Signs will be posted and flag persons will be present in areas where traffic will be impacted. Interstate 44:
Route Interstate 44: MoDOT crews will mow the right-of-way. This function controls roadside vegetation and
improves sight distance.
Route Interstate 44: MoDOT crews will perform milling on the roadway. Milling removes excess material from
cracks and joints.

Carter County
Construction Project
Route 60: Contractor crews have begun constructing drain structures and clearing in preparation for grading and paving. Work continues as the contractor constructs culverts in various locations throughout the project.
Location: 0.3 miles west of Route 19 in Shannon County to Route J in Carter County
Project Detail: This project will construct additional lanes of Route 60 and includes grading, paving, culverts and bridges.
Project Length: 15.04 miles
Estimated Completion: October 2009
Roadway Maintenance
Route C and F: MoDOT crews will perform a chip seal to seal out moisture and restore the roadway surface.

Crawford County
Construction Project
Route 8: Resurfacing and construction of shoulders.
Location: Roadway east of Route 19 in two disconnected sections
Project Detail: Shoulder construction will begin on the Steelville, Mo., end in the eastbound direction. One lane traffic with flaggers, reduced speed limit to 35 mph. Work hours Monday-Saturday 7am to 7pm
Project Length: 33.22 miles
Estimated Completion: July 2008
Roadway Maintenance
Route 19: MoDOT crews will repair edge ruts. This function eliminates shoulder drop-off by placing
rock or other material in ruts along the edge of the roadway.
Route Interstate 44:
MoDOT crews will mow the right-of-way. This function controls roadside vegetation and

Route VV: MoDOT crews will perform patching on the roadway. This function restores rideablility of
the roadway surface.

Dent County
Roadway Maintenance
Route 32: MoDOT crews will perform work to improve drainage. Drain work keeps the roadway dry
and maintains stablility and proper drainage of water from the travel lanes.
Route 32: MoDOT crews will perform shoulder repairs. This function removes ruts, low areas and
high spots on the shoulders.
Various Routes: MoDOT crews will replace, install and or maintain roadway signs.
Route VV: MoDOT crews will perform patching on the roadway. This function restores rideablility of
the roadway surface.

Howell County
Construction Project
Route 142: Contractor will be grading, paving and replacing two low water crossings with box culverts.
Location: Two disconnected sections, located 1.8 miles and 3.2 miles west of Route 17
Roadway Maintenance
Route 17 and Route 160: MoDOT crews will perform shoulder repairs. This function removes ruts, low areas and
high spots on the shoulders.
Route AM and town routes: MoDOT crews will work on driveways and approaches and will perform
shoulder repairs.
Various Routes: MoDOT crews will replace, install and or maintain roadway signs.

Iron County
Construction Project
Route 221
Location: Between Route 21 Iron County and Route 67 in St. Francois County in Farmington, Mo.
Project Detail: Construct shoulders and resurface, including constructing left turn lane sections in three locations, at the intersection of Routes 221 and Route N, through the community of Doe Run, Mo., and from the St. Francois River Bridge to Route 67 in St. Francois County through the community of Delassus, Mo. Will also add centerline and edgeline rumble strips.
Project Length: 16.25 miles
Estimated Completion: December 2008

Route N: The bridge over the union Pacific rail is open to taffic and shoulder work is still being done.
Location: Route 21 to 0.1 miles north of Radford Road
Project Detail: Improvements include widening the bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad, resurfacing and shoulders.
Project Length: 1.8 miles

Route 49: MoDOT crews will be working on bridge deck.
Route C: MoDOT crews will blade patch the roadway to restore shape and stability.

Route 160: MoDOT crews will wash bridges to remove dirt and debris.
Route 63: MoDOT crews will patch potholes to restore shape and roadway stability.
Route Y: MoDOT crews will be working to remove debri and repair roads due to flooding
Location: Crews will be patching on Brock Bridge
Various Routes: MoDOT crews will make repairs to driveways and entrances, repairing edge ruts and
mowing the right-of-way.

Phelps County
Construction Project
Route 63
Location: 1.3 miles north of Route W
Project Detail: The project will include a wider bridge deck and improvements to the roadway joining the bridge.
Project Length: 0.25 miles
Estimated Completion: September 2008

Route 63:Contractor crews will continue to resurface existing pavement.Traffic will be restricted to one lane with flaggers in the workzone area as contractor crews lay asphalt. Minimal delays can be expected. Speed will be reduced to 45 mph. Work hours are 7am to 7:00pm Monday - Saturday
Location: North of Edgar Springs, MO., going south to County Road 6280
Project Detail: Project will include resurfacing and adding passing lanes.
Project Length: 9.4 miles
Location: South of Route CC (Rolla, Mo.) to 3.6 miles south of little pine River near Edgar Springs, Mo.
Project Detail: Resurfacing including shoulders with passing and climbing lanes and bridge rehabilitation.
Project Length: 13.1 miles

Route 63: MoDOT crews will perform concrete replacement on the roadway.
MoDOT crews will replace drainage pipes near the roadway.
Location: 3 miles south of Rolla
Project Detail: Extension of existing culvert.
