Safe Routes to School (SRTS) – Application period 9/1/2012 through 11/5/12
The SRTS program is focused on providing infrastructure, safety improvements, ADA improvements, safety education, and encouragement for grade school (K-8) children to be able to walk to school safely.
Typical projects include: Sidewalk improvements, crosswalks, bicycle facilities, walk to school promotional programs, walking school bus programs, bicycle / pedestrian safety education, etc.
