In Progress

The Missouri Department of Transportation will improve Route K in Reynolds and Iron Counties. Improvements will extend from 2.5 miles east of Route 21 near Ellington, Missouri to 1.3 miles west of Route 49 near Annapolis, Missouri. Nine curves will be improved along the project limits. The project includes widening, adding edgeline rumble stripes and adding guardrail to one curve, as well as adding edgeline rumble stripes to eight other curves. Right of way acquisition will only be required at the curve widening location.

Construction Underway:

Route K is reduced to one lane with a 14-foot width restriction. As the new pavement is tied into the existing pavement, flaggers will be present to guide motorists through the work zone. Weather permitting, work will take place Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023 through Monday, July 31, 2023.
