The Washington County Route A bridge over Indian Creek, east of Sullivan, is slated for replacement in 2026-2027. Built in 1958, the bridge is in poor condition, showing signs it has reached the end of its useful life, and in need of replacement. The new structure will be 24 feet wide, 4 feet wider than the current structure.

Construction of a new bridge will require a full roadway closure. A signed detour will direct motorists to use Washington County Route T and Missouri Route 185.
