MACON - Greg Lay retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) effective April 1, 2014. Greg had 29 years of service with MoDOT at the time of his retirement.Greg began his career with MoDOT in June 1985 as a highway design technician at the district office. In August 1989, Greg would move to the Information Systems Department as a computer specialist. Over the next few years, Greg would receive promotions in the department and would become the District Information Systems Manager in April 2006. When MoDOT reorganized, Greg would move to the Center maintenance facility in June 2012 as a senior maintenance worker. After retirement, Greg hopes to be able to travel more. He also is looking forward to spending more time with his daughter. "My daughter will be graduating from high school in a couple of months, and I am excited about being able to spend time with her and help her transition to the next stage in her life," he said.Greg currently resides in Hannibal, Missouri. He has one daughter, Elizabeth Lay of O'Fallon, MO.
