HANNIBAL - The following is a list of general highway construction and maintenance scheduled for November 9 through November 20 for all counties in MoDOT's northeast district. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other maintenance work may occur on other roads throughout the area. This work will include lane closures and at times delays can be expected.
Crews will be working during daylight work hours unless otherwise indicated. Various forms of traffic control will be in place to secure the safety of the motoring public as well as the safety of highway crews.
All roadwork is posted on the traveler information map on the day it begins or at least one week in advance. Those traveling and the commuting public are encouraged to check the online map at www.modot.org daily for new work zones. Drivers are also invited to rate MoDOT work zones online at modot.org. MoDOT also offers e-update messages sent directly to your email when roadwork is scheduled. Sign up online or call MoDOT's customer service center at 1-888-275-6636.

Maintenance:
Route 54 - Nov. 19-20 painting H piles, no road closure.

Route AA - Nov. 9, 10, 12 and 16-20 hand patching with the distributor, work zone with flaggers and one lane operation.
Route 136 - Nov. 9-10 running motor-grader with retriever from Wayland to Routes A and 81 north and south of Kahoka, moving operation.

Maintenance:
Routes 156W, A and B - Nov. 9-13 working on driveway, moving operation with signs.
Route 15 - Nov. 9-13 working on bridges @ Rt. 6 jct., moving operation with signs.

Maintenance:
Route 61 - Nov. 9-13 sealing cracks southbound driving lane closed from 1 mile south of Route P at Canton to Route B south of LaGrange, one lane traffic with 45 mph work zone.
Route 61 - Nov. 16-20 sealing cracks southbound passing lane closed from Route B to Route 16 at Canton, one lane traffic with 45 mph work zone.
Route 16 - Nov. 9-10 working on shoulder repairs, no closure.
Priority 2 Routes - Nov. 16-20 working on drainage issues.

Construction:
Route 61 at Route U interchange - Project 55% complete - Bridge incidental clean up and grading roadbeds in preparation for baserock.
Maintenance:
Route J (city limits of Wright City) - Nov. 9-13 culvert pipe replacements & ditch work, single lane traffic with flaggers.
Minor routes - Nov. 9-13 mowing, moving operation with blocker truck.
Route B - Nov. 9-13 blading aggregate shoulders, moving operation with blocker truck.
Marion County
Construction:
Route 24/36 - Install edgeline rumble strips, contractor continues work Nov. 7 on east and westbound lanes at various locations from Hannibal to Monroe City; moving operation - one lane traffic during daylight working hours. Work should take approximately 5 working days.
Maintenance:
Route 24 - Nov. 9-13 working on erosion control under bridges, temporary lane closure possible.
Monroe County
Construction:
Route 15- Project 99% complete - conditions permitting contractor should return to complete paving operation from south of Paris to Route D which is approximately 6 miles.
Route 24 - Install edgeline rumble strips, contractor scheduled to begin Wed., Nov. 4 from Monroe City to Madison, approx. 24 miles; moving operation - one lane traffic during daylight working hours. Work should take approximately 3 days.
Maintenance:
Route 15 (various areas) - Nov. 9-13 repairing approaches, possible intermittent lane closures with flaggers.
All routes - Nov. 9-13 replacing and repairing signs, no closures.
Route 24 - Nov. 9-13 grinding joints on roadway, short term lane closures with flaggers.
Routes 151 and 15 - Nov 16-20 working on shoulders following overlay jobs, intermittent lane closures with flaggers.
All routes - Nov. 16-20 replacing and repairing signs, no closures.
Montgomery County
Construction:
Route AC - Project 81% complete - pour barrier curb, stripe deck overhangs, grade jobsite and seed. Road closed thru Nov. 20 to rehabilitate Cuivre River Bridge; detours over Routes AC, K, W, BB, 161.
Maintenance:
All routes - Nov. 9-13 replacing and repairing signs, no closures.
I-70 Ramps - Nov. 9-13 repairing edge ruts on all ramps, intermittent lane closures with signs and flaggers.
All routes - Nov. 16-20 painting railroad crossings & crosswalks, intermittent lane closures with signs and flaggers.
All routes - Nov. 16-20 replacing culvert pipes where necessary, shoulder work requiring intermittent lane closures.
I-70 EB - Nov. 23 pavement repairs eastbound off ramp at 179-mile marker at Route F; the ramp will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pike County
Construction:
Route 61 - Diamond-grinding project completed between Bowling Green and Eolia.
Maintenance:
Route B - Nov. 9 replacing culvert, road closed between 8:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. approx. 1 miles east of Route 61 at Frankford.
Route 79 at Claire Creek - Nov. 9-20 cleaning channel and screening rock, work taking place beyond shoulder but still expect intermittent lane closure; flaggers will be present.
Minor routes - Nov. 9-13 mowing, moving operation with blocker truck.
Ralls County
Construction:
Route P - Job 81% complete; pouring deck, bridge approaches and complete curb reinforcing. Road closed through Nov. 20 to rehabilitate Spencer Creek Bridge; road will be closed at the bridge with detours over Routes K, 19, 154.
Maintenance:
Route 24 - Nov. 16-20 working on erosion control on levees @ West Quincy, temporary lane closure possible.
Route HH - Nov. 16-20 drainage work with Drott, temporary lane closure possible.
Scotland County
Maintenance:
Routes 15 and 136 - Nov. 9-13 retrieve shoulders, moving operation.
Route 15 - Nov. 16-18 rock shoulders north of Memphis, moving operation.
Route 15 - Nov. 16 painting H piles, no road closure.
Shelby County
Construction:
Route 151 - (Includes Monroe County) Paving Operations Completed
Route 36 - Project Status: Overall Project 75% complete - Shelby County area - 66% complete - Contractor will be paving 24 hours/day going from the Salt River to the west to Shelbina. Also laying base rock on the west end of the job near Shelbina. Beginning Wednesday, November 4, Shelby County Road 486 near the Salt River Bridge east of Lakenan will temporarily close at the junction of U.S. 36 and will reopen to traffic in approximately seven working days to allow ample curing time for the concrete. On Thursday, November 5, Birch Street at Hunnewell will be temporarily closed to traffic and could remain closed for approximately two weeks, depending on weather, to remove and rebuild the existing roadway approach. The speed limit in this work zone is 45 mph. The activities listed will create excessive truck traffic. Watch for trucks turning in and out of entrances. The westbound on/off ramps at Routes 36/15 at Shelbina are closed off for the contractor will pave a portion of the new highway, rebuild part of the ramps, and tie it in to the existing highway. Motorists driving west will be directed to take the first Shelbina exit to access Route 15 north and south. Detours clearly signed. Marion County area - 85% complete - Contractor will be grading, staking, trimming grade and laying base rock on the new eastbound lanes just west of Monroe City on the new eastbound lanes. Grading contractor will be building deceleration and acceleration lanes at intersections. Speed Limit at various locations in this area are 35 mph and 45 mph where posted. Macon/Shelby County - Contractor has completed mainline paving from the West end of the project to Crooked Creek, approximately 1 mile West of Lentner. Contractor continues hand pave at median crossovers and is laying aggregate base in preparation for paving further East yet this year. All major earthwork is complete and only finishing and fine grading remain. Work has resumed on the Route 36 bridge over Route FF since the bridge fills are now complete. The Route 151 bridge over Route 36 was opened last month.

Route JJ - Nov. 16-17 hand patching, temporary lane closure.
Route J - Nov. 18 shoulder and ditch work, no lane closure.
Route W - Nov. 19-20 shoulder and ditch work, no lane closure.
Warren County
Construction:
Interstate 70 westbound - Project 42% complete; paving operation in progress at night from 186 to 193 miles marker in westbound lanes. Work will take place at night, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Resurfacing from just west of Route 47 to the Montgomery county line.
