Warrior Avenue in Warrenton - Now OPEN!

Rep Sutherland

Representative Mike Sutherland complimented the Warren County R-3 School students who brought the idea of improving the intersection to his attention.

Dr. John Long, school superintendent, commended the two boys who worked to heighten awareness of the intersection. Both graduated in 2005.

MoDOT Construction Inspector Kurt Kluesner gets the "thumbs up" to flip the switch to permanent traffic signals.

City of Warrenton Mayor Greg Costello hopes that other partnerships like this one will be the norm for the future.

Chris Knapp, Ervin Fackler, and Tom Batenhorst, MoDOT engineers, held the banner as a mini-parade officially opened the intersection.

Project Description:

This project includes the addition of left turn lanes on Route 47, and the intersection will be signalized and lighted to further enhance traffic flow. The City of Warrenton, MoDOT and Warren County R-III School District are sharing the cost of the project.

Cost: $462,771.60
