| For options C1 and C2 an extensive study of the Salt River Basin was conducted. The elevation of the proposed highway in the floodplain has been raised above the water levels regularly experienced on this section of the river. However, if extreme flood events similar to those of August 2008 occur again the roadway will likely flood. |
