Rescheduled: Missouri River Bridge maintenance now scheduled for April 6

Atchison County U.S. Route 136 at Brownville, NE

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Atchison County U.S. Route 136 bridge over the Missouri River, near Brownville, Nebraska, is scheduled to undergo bridge washing as preventative maintenance. AAD Contracting, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, originally planned to complete the bridge washing beginning Monday, April 1, but is now scheduled to begin, and complete work on Saturday, April 6.

Crews will narrow the roadway to one lane with flaggers guiding traffic through the work zone.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
