Section of Route 39 CLOSED in Aurora Between August 20-26

Where: Missouri Route 39 from just south of Carnation Drive (near Lawrence County 2200 Road) to just west of Lewis Shaw Drive (near Aurora Junior High School) in Aurora

When: 9 a.m., Monday, August 20, through Sunday, August 26

What: Contractor crews connecting temporary bypass for railroad bridge project between Carnation Drive and Route 39 (Olive Street)

Traffic Impacts: Route 39 CLOSED between Carnation Drive and Lewis Shaw Drive. Drivers can use the signed detour of Missouri Route FF and Missouri Route K to get around the closure. Drivers also have local road options to avoid the closure.

NOTE: Work is part of a larger project to build a railroad overpass and complete other railroad crossing upgrades in Aurora.
