Update: I-44 Work Zones
Scheduled for Week of September 5
All of the work scheduled will stop
at noon on Friday, September 2, and not resume until after morning
rush hour on Tuesday, September 6. However, due to the nature
of some of these projects lane closings/work zones may remain
in place over the Labor Day Holiday weekend.
These scheduled work zones along Interstate
44 involve pavement repairs, resurfacing or reconstruction, lane
additions, bridge rehabilitation/repairs, guard cable installation,
guardrail repairs and overhead sign installation.
Depending on the project, these work
zones will involve two-way traffic, lane closings, lane shifts
or narrowed lanes. Slowdowns and backups may occur.
Bad weather or other unforeseen conditions
may cause changes in work schedules. Emergencies may arise that
will cause traffic backups and/or require lane closings that are
not listed below.
Amendment 3 funds made many of these
projects possible.
