Updates on MoDOT’s KC metro work

Note: Missouri state offices are closed Monday, Sept. 5 for Labor Day.

Work zones for Friday-Tuesday, Sept. 2-6 (weather permitting)
Jackson County
I-70: Maintenance crews will work along eastbound I-70 between Jackson Avenue and the Blue Ridge Cutoff from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
I-470: Maintenance crews will close a lane of eastbound I-470 between the Triangle and Blue Ridge Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
Nighttime resurfacing will close lanes on I-470 in either direction between Raytown Road and Douglas Street from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through autumn.
Triangle: Construction activity will close a lane of northbound Route 71 north of Red Bridge from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Sept. 6-10, and from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Sept. 6-10. Crews will work on Route 71 in either direction between 115th St. and the Triangle from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
Route 7: Maintenance crews will work along northbound Route between Pink Hill Road and Route 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Route 40: Joint-repair crews will work on westbound Route 40 at Route AA from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Route 71: Pavement repairs will close the northbound Route 71 exit ramp to Route 150 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily Sept. 6-8.
Route 78: Water main repairs will reduce Route 78 to one lane in each direction at Emery (about two blocks east of Noland) in Independence from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
Route AA: Joint-repair crews will work on Route AA in either direction between Graham Road and Main Street in Grain Valley from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 6-7.
Clay County
I-35: Nighttime resurfacing on I-35 from north of Parvin Road to the Clinton County line may close lanes and ramps in either direction from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly.
Route 33: Tree-trimming crews will work along northbound Route 33 between Kansas Street and Route 69 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays Sept. 6-13.
Platte County
I-29: Overlay crews will work on northbound I-29 between I-435 and Route O daily through Sept. 3. Crews will resurface I-29 in either direction between Platte City and the Buchanan County through Oct. 1.
I-635/Route 69: KDOT crews will restripe Route 69 at the I-635 interchange from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6; temporary lane closures throughout the day.
Route 9: KDOT crews will remove traffic-control devices along northbound Route 9 at I-635 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
Route 45: Pavement-repair crews will work on northbound Route 45 north of Route H from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Sept. 6.
Route N: A private contractor will work at the Route N/Route D intersection daily through Sept. 30.
Cass County
Route 71: Paving crews will work on southbound Route 71 between Harrisonville and the Bates County line from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday; work on the northbound lanes is scheduled Sept. 6-16.

Ongoing long-term projects
Jackson County
West Pennway at I-35: The entrance ramp from northbound West Pennway to northbound I-35 is closed for reconstruction until mid-November.
I-70: Nighttime resurfacing between Manchester Trafficway and Route 291 will close lanes in either direction from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly through the summer.
I-70 is reduced to two lanes in each direction between Route 291 and Route 7. The westbound I-70 ramp to northbound Route 291, and the Route 7 and Little Blue Expressway entrance ramps to westbound I-70 are closed until mid-October.
Route 24: Temporary lane closures for resurfacing between Allen Road and Davis Road. Route 50: Pavement replacement in both directions between east of Chipman Road to east of Route 291 will close lanes periodically through October.
Triangle: The left lane of southbound Route 71 is closed between Longview and Blue Ridge Boulevard, and the right lane of northbound Route 71 is striped as exit only at the Blue Ridge Boulevard exit; two through lanes remain in each direction. Temporary lane/ramp closures continue. Visit www.kctriangle.org for information.
Clay County:
Route 10: Resurfacing crews will close lanes in either direction between Route 69 and New Garden Road in Ray County from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights through mid-September.
Route 33 in Kearney: Temporary lane closures during daylight hours.
Route 92: Resurfacing from Route DD east of Smithville to west of I-35 in Kearney.
Platte County
Route 92: Temporary lane closures for bridge construction near the Clay County line.
Route 152: The westbound shoulder is closed between Amity Road and NW Hampton Road; speed limit reduced; periodic closures on NW Hampton Road.
Cass County
Routes 7 and 71: Nighttime diamond grinding to be followed by resurfacing on Route 7 between Harrisonville and Garden City, and on Rte 71 from Rte 7 to Bates County line.
Route 58: Widening and roundabout construction west of Scott Avenue in Belton may reduce traffic to one lane during off-peak hours.
