JEFFERSON CITY - To find
your way in Missouri, you need a good map, and now you can get
the latest one free from the Missouri Department of Transportation.
"The new maps are out just
ahead of the busy summer travel season," said MoDOT Director Pete
Rahn. " The map's main feature is, of course, our 32,000-mile
state highway system, the nation's seventh largest."
The new map, available
free of charge, charts Missouri's system of highways and bridges
as well as major rivers, lakes, state parks and forests. Other
features include:
- Highlighted routes of the Lewis and Clark Trail, Historic
Route 66, the Katy Trail and Eastern Missouri's Great River
Road
- Easy-to-locate emergency telephone numbers
- Contact information for state travel resources
Maps are available at
MoDOT offices, highway rest areas, visitor centers, the Missouri
Division of Tourism and many other state offices. Requests can
