One-Lane Traffic Planned On
Webster County Routes DD andW
Near Marshfield For Sealing Operation
MoDOT, District 8, Springfield --
Drivers can expect one-lane traffic for several days on Webster
County Route DD during the week of July 25 and one-lane traffic
on Route W during the week of August 1 as Missouri Department
of Transportation crews complete pavement sealing projects.
Here's a look at what's planned:
* During the week of July 25: One-lane
traffic is scheduled on Webster County Route DD east of Marshfield.
MoDOT crews will begin where state maintenance ends and work toward
Route 38 at Marshfield.
* During the week of August 1: One-lane
traffic is planned on Webster County Route W between Webster County
Route Y and Route 38 north of Marshfield. MoDOT crews will begin
at Webster County Route Y and work toward Marshfield.
(If there are delays on the Webster
County Route DD project, the Route W project may be delayed for
a day or two.)
Lane closings will be 8 a.m. to 6
p.m. each day.
Flaggers will direct traffic. Expect
to slow down and stop for a few minutes approaching the project.
A "pilot" pickup truck will lead vehicles through the
work zones.
The pavement will be sealed with asphalt
and rock on both routes.
Crews will close a 1-mile-to-1-1/2-mile
section of one lane, then switch to the other lane to even out
the work. Then the "chip-seal" operation will be moved
to the next section.
Electronic message boards and orange
signs will alert drivers to the operation.
