Fly-Coat Operation to Begin on Route 149 in Macon County

MACON - Missouri Department of Transportation maintenance crews will apply a fly-coat on Route 149 in Macon County Tuesday, October 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.   The process will begin at Goldsberry and continue approximately six miles south to Ethel.

A fly-coat operation is a preventative maintenance process used to extend the life of the driving surface.

The roadway will be closed to through traffic during this process.   Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in the area.
