Amtrak's Missouri River Runner Potentially Delayed Due to Flooding

Warrensburg, MO - Damage caused by flash flooding earlier this week is causing possible delays in Amtrak's Missouri River Runner train service this weekend.

As of Saturday morning, April 5, Union Pacific is repairing a section of rail line located east of Warrensburg, Mo. While repairs take place, trains are operational but significant delays are possible for those traveling on the Missouri River Runner. Amtrak will resume regularly scheduled service once repairs are complete. Travelers are encouraged to check Amtrak.com or call 1-800-USA-RAIL (800-872-7245) to get up-to-date information on departure/arrival times.

Twice a day the Missouri River Runner serves Kansas City, St. Louis and eight points in between - Kirkwood, Washington, Hermann, Jefferson City, Sedalia, Warrensburg, Lee's Summit and Independence.
