About Plans to Update Route 76/Table Rock Lake Bridge

Cape Fair, Stone County – Area residents are encouraged to attend a March 20 public meeting to learn more about plans to rehabilitate the Route 76 bridge over Table Rock Lake in Cape Fair in 2019, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The public meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, at the Cape Fair Community Center, 8627 Route 76 in Cape Fair. The meeting will be come-and-go style with NO FORMAL PRESENTATION planned.

Anyone unable to attend the in-person meeting can view the same exhibits and give their comments at an online public meeting at www.modot.org/southwest

In 2019, MoDOT plans to replace the deck or driving surface of the Route 76 bridge over Table Rock Lake. The project also will replace the walls or railings along the bridge and install new guardrail at the bridge ends.

During the project, traffic crossing the bridge will be impacted. MoDOT is currently developing options for handling traffic, but no definite decisions have been made.

The estimated total project cost is $2.5 million dollars.
