The initial work will start the week of January 16 with crews working on traffic signal wiring, away from traffic. The work will take several months.

Starting in the spring, when temperatures warm, crews will make modifications to medians, concrete islands and complete other necessary road work. Much of the road work will include lane closings which will be done at night. Drivers are urged to use caution at the intersections between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The prime contractor is Ewing Signal Construction of Nixa.

The estimated total project cost is $2.8 million.

The intersection projects are scheduled for completion by early November 2019. However, the contractor expects the project to be completed by summer 2018.
