JEFFERSON CITY - The Missouri Department of Transportation invites business and local leaders in the state, along with freight and industry stakeholders, to participate in a webinar at 9 a.m., Tuesday, May 13, to continue discussions regarding funding of Missouri's freight infrastructure.The webinar is an opportunity for stakeholders who were unable to attend recent regional forums to participate in the planning process. Recently, nearly 100 stakeholders participated in these forums. Recognizing that its central location and freight network are key economic assets, MoDOT is working with stakeholders to develop a plan for strengthening the freight network to attract new jobs and lay the groundwork for Missouri's future growth.The Missouri Department of Transportation launched this Missouri Freight Plan as the next step in a process begun in 2013 to develop the state's long-range transportation plan. MoDOT will release a draft version of the Freight Plan this summer.
